I received double training in both history (Hacettepe University, Ankara) and computer science (Birmingham University, UK). My research interests thus lie at the intersection of social science subjects and computing which include historical computing, e-learning and copyright protection in the Internet era. In addition to being a staff member in the History Department at Hacettepe University, I serve as the Head of Informatics Division at The Scientific  and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK)
