In our research group, we design surfactant molecules for several high tech applications. In our design, we add several functional groups (redox active, pH sensitive even fluorinated chains) to our molecular structure in order to increase the effectiveness of these systems. Moreover, controlling the selected bulk and surface related properties reversible (stimuli responsive) is aimed. We closely investigate the examples from the nature, where the interfacial behavior is critical, to get more understanding and try to reflect that relation to the molecular structure.
