Lütfi Erden, born on February 3, 1970, graduated
from the Uludag University Department of Econometrics
in 1993. With the scholarship granted by Ministry
of Education, he went on to pursue his graduate study
abroad, earning an MS degree in Economics from the
University of Colorado at Denver in 1997. The same
year, he started his doctoral study at the Florida
State University, Department of Economics. Upon earning
his Ph.D. there in 2002, Lütfi Erden returned
to Turkey. Currently, he is an Assistant Professor
at the Department of Economics at Hacettepe University.
His academic interests are applied econometrics, macroeconomics,
international trade and finance. He is married with
one child.
