The aim of this report is to analyze the perceptions of participants who attended "Ernest L. Boyer Technology Summits for Educators" which was sponsored by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. The main goals of the summits were to encourage teams of educators to discuss the impact of technology on their teaching and student learning and to help them explore how technology can best be used to help students master academic content. Other goals of the summits included introducing educators to current technology and encouraging collaboration between high school teachers, college professors, and media specialists.
This report presents for consideration an overview of the Ernest L. Boyer Technology Summits, a brief literature-based background to the CPB technology effort, the evaluation foci that guided the NCREST work, findings, and conclusions and recommendations.
