HOMEWORK: COOKIE ENTITY-RELATIONSHIP (E-R) DIAGRAM
You were asked to answer some queries using the ready-made Cookie database in your first assignment. This assigment aims to introduce you to the Entity-Realtionship (E-R) diagrams. We reviewed the basic E-R terminology and tools (rectangles for entities, ellypses for attributes, etc.) in class. Please read Chapter 3 of Kronke and review the Cookie database before you complete this assignment. Review the E-R Notations and Tips on how to draw E-R diagrams using PowerPoint handouts given in class.
1. Create an E-R diagram for the Cookie database.
2. Name the entities and relationships along with their attributes using the E-R notations.
3. Define the relationships between various entities (one-to-one, one-to-many, many-to-many). By "entity" one should understand the table names in the Cookie database (i.e., BIBFILE, PUBFILE, etc.).
4. Indicate minimum and maximum cardinalities for each entity.
5. File your homework in your
directory under Network Neighborhood/lib30/
