04/03--: Professor; Department of Information Management, Hacettepe University, Ankara (Associate Professor: 1994-2003)

Tasks: Teaching undergraduate and graduate courses on research methods, database management systems, networked information sources and services, digital libraries, bibliometrics, etc.; carrying out sponsored research projects; advising both master’s and doctoral students; served as the Chair (2009-2012) and Deputy Chair (1995-1996) of the Department.

6/96--5/98: Founding President: National Academic Network and Information Center, Scientific and Technical Research Council of Turkey, Ankara

Tasks: Helped set up a nation-wide academic network and provide electronic information services.

Tasks: Taught courses on library automation and audiovisual materials; worked, as co-director, in the preparation of the computer-based catalog of periodicals in Ankara libraries (1983-1985).

Tasks: Taught a graduate course on management of information technology and undergraduate courses on computers and information, research methods, use of information resources; coordinated an undergraduate course "Methods of Library Use" and prepared its textbook.

Tasks: Worked with various modules (acquisition, cataloging, online catalog, etc.) of the integrated library automation system (URICA) of the National Library of Wales.

Tasks: Responsible for the collection and organization of publications related with child health and education, and the periodicals collection of the library.
