department of Mining Engineering, University of Nottingham. At the end of the first year of the study
for an M.Phil. Department of Mining Engineering proposed to carry out a
research for a Ph.D. degree and supported with a financial grant. Carried out a research project on the subject
of " strata control in underground coal mining longwall gate roadways with
a special reference to the statistical analysis of the roadway deformation
database by using computer techniques " under the supervision of Dr.R.N.
Singh and Prof. T. Atkinson.
March – April 1988 Technical visit to German mines and mining
machinery factories with Nottingham University Mining Society.
Dec.1988-April 1989 Researcher at Turkish Hard Coal
Enterprises(TTK) Armutcuk Mine Rehabilitation Project. Project was carried out
with the cooperation of CdFI (French Coal Board).
