I am an Associate Professor of Quantitative Decision Methods at Department of Business Administration, Hacettepe University, Ankara, Turkey.
I hold a PhD degree from Warwick Business School, UK (2009-2013). Since 2013, I am employed as a faculty member at Hacettepe University. Currently, I am serving as the vice-chair of my department, as the director of Hacettepe University Energy Markets Research & Application Center and as a board member of Center for Energy and Value Issues, Netherlands.
My research focuses on applications of Operations Research (OR) in various areas including Energy & Environment, Agriculture, Higher Education and Finance. I produce research both in local and international journals. Data Envelopment Analysis and its theory is one of my specific interests. My publication record includes papers in prestiguous journals like Operations Research, European Journal of Operational Research, Omega, Journal of Cleaner Production and Expert Systems with Applications.
I have a teaching experience at undergraduate, graduate and PhD levels since 2013. My teaching portfolio includes courses as Operations Research, Quantitative Methods, Financial Decision Making, Research Methods and Decision Analysis. I have experience in teaching a variety of OR methods including linear programming, multiple criteria decision analysis, data envelopment analysis, portfolio optimization, simulation and forecasting. I have also active participation in academic program design. Currently, I am one of the coordinators of Business Analytics Master program.
